Betsey Gould Perley was born perhaps 1795.
She was the daughter of Moody Perley and Abigail Gould.¹
Fanny Perley spent the greater part of her life as housekeeper for her brother Stephen Perley till the old house was untenantableand his health was broken. She then went to live with their sister Betsey Gould Perley in Georgetown, Massachusetts, when Stephen went to live with their brother Moody Perley.²

The census of 1860 shows: Cephas W. Perley, 34, a farmer with $3000 real estate and $300 personal estate; listed with Eunice Perley and Sarah Perley
living at Gray, Cumberland County, Maine.
Also living there was Henry Fitzgereal, 60, a farm laborer.³
Cephas married Sarah A. (?)⁴
The census of 1870 shows: Cephas W. Perley, 45, a farmer with $3000 real estate and $2000 personal estate; and Sarah A. Perley, 30, keeping house; listed with Mary J. Perley
