Luther married Marietta Rice, daughter of Moses Rice Jr. and Molly Howes, on October 12, 1839 in Springfield, Massachusetts.³
Luther died on September 15, 1905 in East Dennis, Massachusetts, at age 90 of a cerebral hemmorhage, arteriosclerosis. He was a farmer.⁴
