Paul Sears was born on June 15, 1669 in Yarmouth, Massachusetts,
“Mr. Paul Sears” lived on Quivet Neck, and was prominent in the church of the East precinct of Yarmouth, to which he was admitted June 23, 1728, and his wife Aug. 6, 1727.

“Aug. 4, 1724, Paul Sears was one of Committee to infor?n Mr. Taylor of call to ministry;" Oct. 5, 1725, one of Committee “to lay out meeting-house floor for pews;” June 24, 1726, “to receive Mr. Dennis answer;” Mar. 16, 1727, on Committee “on ordination of Mr. Dennis."²
He was the son of Capt. Paul Sears and Deborah Willard.¹
Paul married Mercy Freeman in 1693 in Harwich, Massachusetts.³
Paul died on February 14, 1739/40 in West Brewster, Massachusetts, at age 70
No record of administration upon the estate of Paul Sears were found, and he perhaps divided his property before his death, but all early records in Reg. Deeds Barns., have been destroyed by fire.³
He and Mercy Freeman were buried in Bound Brook, West Brewster, Massachusetts.⁴

Elisha Porter's Regt., July 10 to Aug. 12, 1777, and corporal in Capt. Sam’l Westcott's Co., Col. Jos. Ashley's Regt., Sep. 19 to Oct. 18, 1777, in Northern army.²
